About

The Venture Club aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in ICT startups.

Why did we create this association? We felt that the early stage high tech investments (venture capital) sector was too distinct from the private equity sector and wanted to create our own focus group.

Even the European private equity sector association EVCA decided in June 2007 to split itself up and become an umbrella organization for three independent groups: large buy-out, mid-market buy-out (together the traditional private equity segment) and venture capital.
Until the Venture Club, this evolution had not been extended to the Benelux. Four thought leaders in the ICT venture capital segment decided in January 2008 to create their own interest group, the Venture Club. We operate alongside the local private equity associations NVP (Netherlands) and BVA (Belgium).

The focus of the Venture Club is on fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in ICT startups.

The club is not accepting any new memberships as we prefer to keep things simple, agile and informal. We are however participating at certain events where you can meet with us.
